6-6-13 Banff National Park

June 6, 2013

There are so many lakes and falls!  All this snow makes for lots of melt areas.

Lake Louise was one of those “postcard” places.   Even Sharon could get a picture of the mountain snow reflecting in the water.

And Bob found a Canadian penny in the lake, which is rare because they don’t have Canadian pennies anymore!  We enjoyed hot chocolate on the patio overlooking the lake.  What a peaceful time.

Moraine Lake was our next stop of the day, but we had been spoiled by Lake Louise.

I love the different colors of green in the forest!

We had our picnic lunch at the entrance to Johnston Canyon.  A man we’d met in Calgary had told us to hike here.  What a great hike to the upper falls a mile and a half in.

We thought we were through with telephone calls in odd places.  Not!  This actually was the motorhome people asking if we liked the new coach.  lolol

This is the Presbyterian church in Banff, established in 1888.  Check out the  sermon  title!!!
